Ross Oscar Knight is an international photographer and avid yoga capturing lifestyle images and documenting culture.

Ross has been practicing yoga since 2003 when he suffered a painful low back injury while playing sports. His physical therapist suggested yoga as a low impact exercise to increase flexibility and endurance, and after his first class, he was immediately hooked. Within a few weeks, he noticed a decrease in his stress level and an increase in core strength, and he soon realized how the benefits of his practice carried over into his photography. Since then, Ross has not only remained an active practitioner, but he continues to incorporate breathing and stability exercises into his shooting technique.

Since pursuing his dream to become an international photographer in 2007, Ross' career has taken him to six different continents to observe, participate in, and photograph cultural ceremonies that fulfill his passion to understand and communicate the beauty of the human story unfolding. He uses his camera to genuinely connect with others and their energy, and the recurring themes in his work are exploration, spirituality, curiosity, and authenticity.

His combined passions inspired his focus on yoga photography and have led him to work with several world renowned yogis including Dr. Sanaa Jaman (@ladydork), Laura Sykora (@laurasykora) and Dr. Chelsea Jackson Roberts (@chelsealovesyoga). His first photography/yoga retreat was featured alongside his work in Yoga Journal, and he regularly hosts events and workshops in his local Atlanta yoga community.

Knight is a trusted member of the Professional Photographers of America and his images have appeared in various media outlets across the globe including CNN, Oprah Winfrey, Huffington Post, HGTV, the NBA, Forbes and Essence. He is also an active philanthropist supporting cancer research, microfinance programs, youth fitness and mission trips to Haiti and Honduras.
